By accessing or using Lawerly (“the Service”), operated by Startup Lab 24 LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Lawerly is an AI-powered legal research platform designed for Pakistani law. The Service provides access to a knowledge graph of statutes, case law, and legal concepts, along with AI-assisted research chat and document generation.

3. Not Legal Advice

Lawerly is a research tool, not a law firm. The Service does not provide legal advice, representation, or attorney-client relationships. All information provided is for research and reference purposes only. You should always consult a qualified legal professional before making legal decisions based on information obtained through the Service.

While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors. Always verify citations, statutory references, and legal positions independently before relying on them in any legal proceeding.

4. User Accounts

You must create an account to use certain features of the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Lawerly offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.

  • Free trial: New users receive a 14-day free trial with full Pro access. No credit card is required to start the trial.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the Stripe customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law.
  • Price changes: We may modify subscription prices with 30 days' advance notice.

6. Usage Limits

Each subscription tier includes specific usage limits for research queries and document generation. These limits reset monthly. Exceeding your plan's limits may result in temporary restriction of certain features until the next billing cycle or an upgrade to a higher tier.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or systematically download the knowledge graph or database
  • Share account credentials or allow unauthorized access
  • Use automated bots or scripts to access the Service beyond the provided API
  • Misrepresent AI-generated content as your own legal analysis in court filings without proper review
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service's infrastructure

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is owned by Startup Lab 24 LLC. Case law and statutory content in the knowledge graph is sourced from public legal records and is not our proprietary content.

Documents you generate through the Service are yours. We do not claim ownership of your research sessions, generated documents, or inputs.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lawerly and Startup Lab 24 LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or legal proceedings outcomes, resulting from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may request export of your data within 30 days of termination.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
